It all started in 1989 when Billy Sangster and Stephen Rafferty decided to form a band with Bill Morrison, a drummer with boundless enthusiasm who had been brought up in the old days of Punk rock.

Billy and Stephen had just folded their previous band, Kerosene Kittens, after a lack of success and good tunes culminated in their premature decision to leave the music industry.
